The personal data submitted to us are only used to support AstraZeneca’s legal and regulatory obligations around reporting side effects associated with Our products. As part of this We may contact you if we require further information about the adverse event you have reported and you have consented to us contacting you.

We sometimes employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, for example providing technical support for the systems where your personal data is held. Please note that personal data which identifies a patient will only be viewable by AstraZeneca’s patient safety team located in Australia, AstraZeneca’s service provider located in India who are responsible for processing adverse event reports, and a small number of administrators located outside of Australia who provide global support on the system where AZ holds the personal data. AZ will remove any patient identifiers (eg name, initial or address) prior to using or disclosing the data beyond the above identified parties. Information which is important for the medical assessment of the report, such as age and gender, may be disclosed to government or state bodies in order to comply with Our legal and regulatory obligations.
Personal data relating to HCPs or Others/Patient Representatives which are provided as part of a reporting a patient’s adverse event will only be disclosed outside the AstraZeneca group of companies if you are a U.S citizen, in order to meet our legal requirements in that country.
